Sicherheit geht vor
In einem Tal, welches das gesamte Jahr über, ein umfangreiches touristisches Angebot aufrecht hält, wird viel in das Thema Sicherheit investiert. Eine Wanderung zu der Lawinenverbauung in Hintertux, hat mir faszinierende Einblicke gegeben! Eine Mannschaft, die den gesamten Sommer in einem Containerdorf auf über 2000 HM lebt und tonnenschwere Stahlträger über Berghänge mit fast 40° Hangneigung tragen.
Better safe than sorry
The Tuxer valley is known for high mountains and hence also steep slopes. The incredible wide range of touristic offers throughout the entire year, require a fairly big safety infrastructure. A trip to the new avalanche lining in Hintertux gave me a great insight into the work of men, who live in a container village, all summer long and carry tons worth of steel rods on slopes close to 40° gradients.
