Documenting the Race Across America 2016

06-13-2016

About half a year ago a friend asked me if I was interested to join the support-crew of the german cyclist Julian Eisenbeis, who was going to do the Race Across America 2016. The answer without too much thinking was YES!

Having cycled down the East Coast of the US, my appreciation and respect for athletes participating in RAAM is huge! Julian has prepared for a long time to do this now. His support crew is half German, half Austrian… 😉 as always, I am not quite sure which one of the two teams I belong to. Anyways I will be documenting this venture for the coming weeks and a half, depending on how fast Julian will reach Annapolis, where the race will b officially ended on the 26th of June.

Tomorrow a total of over 90 athletes will start in Oceanside, California for what is known as the worlds hardest bike race, covering 3.069 miles across America, passing deserts, mountains, plaines, Navajo reservations and much more. If you are interested in following Julians journey of the race than please check back in here, I will post continuously here as well as on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
